Integrating quality improvement in the Nigerian national clinical mentorship program (NCMP)
Quality Improvement (QI) methods have proven to be an approach to problem solving, especially in the health sector. The Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) in partnership with the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) implemented a National Clinical Mentorship Program (NCMP).
The NCMP program identified mentors who had both technical expertise and experience in the field of HIV/AIDS at both national and State levels to support the coordination of the HIV/AIDS response in their states with the collaboration of the State governments and implementing partners.
